Is it too early to publish a 2017 calendar? Nah… I guess for some it might be too early, but I’m sure that for others, especially students and teachers, it’s never early to start planing 😉
So here it goes! Enjoy your 2017 free printable calendar!
I made it into two versions, a poster with all the 12 months on one page, and each month in one different A4 page. You just have to click on the correspondent image and the PDF file will be automatically downloaded.
Because I love planning, dreaming and imagining so much, I just spent a couple of hours trying to figure out how I want my living room to look like. I even designed a mood board!
Why a mood board?
Well, as I told you before, I want to do things right and I really don’t want to waste time, effort and money decorating a rental that sooner or later I know I’ll leave. I want to make it my home while I’m here though, so I need to decorate it my way, give this apartment some Lena’s love, you know? That’s why planning is so important… And also, because I want Joaquim to visualize my ideas and understand and agree with everything I want to do 😉
I like white and empty spaces with small touches of color. I like a minimalist style accentuated by traveling souvenirs that give a bohemian look to the room. I prefer small cozy spaces. I like wood, gray and white. I like some touches of DIY. I like light but big carpets. I like pillows on the floor. I like airy and bright rooms.
And that’s where this mood board comes from. I think it represents everything I want for my entire home, more or less. I imagine the walls of my dream home white, with a rough touch, not perfectly finished, like those old houses’ walls that you see in beautiful traditional Greek houses (in Portugal and in Spain you can find a lot of those too, but they are not so charmingly presented on the webs…). And then, pairing with those beautifully imperfect white walls, I always imagine a home filled with furniture and decor from our travels around the world.
Even though I still don’t own any furniture from my travels, I do have some things, like pictures, lamps, mirrors and small objects that eventually will end up on some wall and hopefully create that bohemian vibe and give those colorful touches I was talking about.
Of course it will be super hard to match this mood board and my ideals to my actual living room. First because we’re not buying the furniture we really want, instead we’re buying the easiest to get and assemble, the cheapest and what’s available on the second hand market. Second because instead of an old charming house we’re living in this ultra modern and boring apartment. And third because I definitely don’t want to spend a lot of money on objects just to create a look.
What do you think of my ideas? Do you like the mood board I designed? What’s your decor style? Let me know in the comments section bellow! Let’s start a conversation 🙂
Hey hey hey! I’m here again! Guess my previous come back notice was not that effective… 😉 No prob! I’m here to stay, and like I’ve said several times already, I want to take packmahome seriously. From this point on I can’t promise I’ll publish twice a week, though I’ll publish on a weekly basis for sure. And the reason why I’m slowing down packmahome’s publishing rhythm is… related with the big announcement I have to make.
CAN YOU GUESS WHAT’S THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT?
it’s really hard to take a decently posed picture with a toddler…
YAY! That’s right, I’m pregnant with my second child! At first I wasn’t so sure if I should make this announcement on the blog but you know what? I get really tired when I’m pregnant, like the baby sucks all my energy away, and I had to have a good excuse for not showing up for blog duties so often… And I published this photo on Instagram, so… It’s completely public now and I couldn’t be prouder!
I can’t stop thinking about all the things I want to make, like decorating my rental, renovating some furniture, putting some cool ideas into practice, writing cool posts for the blog, improving my social media skills, etc etc etc. But then this thing called baby comes in and says, “Hey mom, don’t you worry, just lay down for a bit more and rest. You’ll have plenty to deal with in a few months.” And I completely respect my baby’s opinion and follow the advice I’m “given”!
So yes, from now on I’ll be slower but happier too (if that’s even possible)! Okay, the big announcement is made, let’s hop on the free printables part!
PLANNING IS THE BEST WAY TO START
What’s the best way of getting back to work? Planning, of course! September is already here, a lot of people returned from their vacation and a lot of students are starting just now another school year. So I made a weekly planner! And a weekly schedule for those who need to divide their days into blocks. Just click on each image and the PDF download should be immediate.
I think 10 hours are more than enough for a working/studying day. If you get the chance to print and use this schedule, let me know if this format suits your needs or if you want me to make some changes to it.
If you are not studying and/or don’t need to divide your days into hours, here’s the weekly planner. Write all your to dos and appointments on the left column and then distribute them throughout the week. I hope it works for you and if not, please let me know what would you change.
I hope you have a good coming back to school or work and that my planners are useful, enjoy!
I created two Pinterest images because the big announcement has little or nothing to do with the weekly planner and schedule, so pin away my friend!
You know what I did this past month while in Portugal? Nothing. Zero. Nada. I feel a bit guilty, but just a little. I needed that time to really disconnect and not think about packmahome at all, though that was quite an impossible mission ;). My plan now is to slowly come back to the blog, not putting too much pressure on it (nobody’s life is depending on my return, anyway) and then create a better plan along the way. I still have my list and eventually I’ll accomplish everything I set myself to do. On my own rhythm, ok?
Speaking about goals to accomplish and things to do, remember my Summer Bucket List? Here’s what I accomplished. I’m a bit disappointed to be honest, but Hey!, vacation is not the time to set goals, right? And in my defense, Summer is not over yet and Joaquim was working all the time until late hours in the night… Big release coming up… I hope he can have some free time by the end of August, so we can have a well deserved family vacation. Let’s see how it goes.
Though I didn’t do anything related with packmahome, I did do some things in Portugal 😉
MY TIME IN PORTUGAL WAS SPENT…
With the family, at home, by the pool and at the beach!
We spent half of the time with my family, in Lagos (Algarve), and the other half with Joaquim’s, in Brotas (Alentejo) and in Altura (Algarve). It was really nice to watch Olivia playing with her grandparents, her uncles and cousins and our friends’ kids as well. We were amazed by her ability in bonding with everyone, especially with the children 💕
Since we had Olivia, each time we go to Portugal it’s harder and harder to leave… She really made us change! I don’t know what the future has for us, but I’m sure we’ll return to our country sooner than we ever planned. Oh well…
And what about you? What did you do while I was away in Portugal? Did you have some time out too or you’ll have your vacation now in August?
Oh, by the way, when I got back to Berlin I had some pretty cool postcards waiting for me 😉 Thank you so much!
And by the way nº2, I did do something packmahome related… I changed my social media covers and the general looks of my Pinterest profile! My idea is to slowly change the blog looks too, so stay tuned!
Yeah, basically it’s this, I’ll be on vacation in Portugal the entire month of July and I won’t post on packmahome until the 4th of August.
I need time to relax so I can accomplish every goal I set on my Summer Bucket List (includes a free printable so you too can make your own).
I also need time away from the blog so I can clear my mind and bring on the creativity. I want to plan new things and bring fresh content when I come back. I want to make some changes and work on the backstage of the blog. I want to keep learning and improve my blogger skills. I want to do a gazillion things for which I need time and freedom without the responsibility of posting twice a week.
During the month of July I won’t publish new blog posts nor send any newsletter, although I might be present on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram 😉 We can always stay in touch through those channels.
So that’s it! Enjoy your Summer! I know I’ll enjoy mine! See you around!
Well hello everyone! Today is the day I’ll announce the packamhome’s first giveaway winners! But first I would like to thank everybody for participating, you all made me so happy! Thank you 😀 Keep reading…
Sunday is one of my favorite days to spend in Berlin, especially in Summer. The city gains a life of itself and there’s so much to do and see, to discover and explore. Berlin is immense and it looks like there’s always something new to try out. So what better way of getting to know this city than through a native’s point of view? Today I’m having a Berliner over packmahome to guide us through a perfect Sunday! Keep reading…
I love to travel. When I’m not traveling I love to think about traveling. If I can’t travel, I like to write about it. And design pretty free printables on Canva for my readers 🙂 I’m obsessed, I know. But I’m happy this way, so just let me dream of my next trip and design a bit more, ok? Keep reading…
There are several ways of traveling and each individual has their own. I prefer to travel as a local, immersing as much as I can in the culture of the place I visit. I thought it would be nice to let you know the way we like to travel and how we organize our trips. Keep reading…
